The Lending Lab Pty Ltd ("we") respects your privacy and handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy covers this website. When you apply for credit through us, your credit information is also handled under our credit licensee's privacy and credit reporting policy, which we give you with your credit guide.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, phone, email and the details in your enquiry
- If you apply for a loan: identification, income, expenses, assets, debts and related documents
- Basic website data such as pages visited and device type, through standard server logs
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and give you credit assistance
- To submit applications to lenders and related service providers, with your consent
- To meet our legal obligations, including identity checks and record keeping
- To let you know about relevant updates, which you can opt out of at any time
Who we share it with
Lenders, valuers, lenders mortgage insurers, our credit licensee and aggregator, and service providers that help us run the business. These include our website host (Vercel), our email provider (Resend), our booking calendar (Calendly) and our customer relationship tools. Some of these providers may store data outside Australia. We do not sell your information.
Referrals
If someone refers you to us, we contact you only if they have told us you agreed. If you were referred by, or we refer you to, a sister business (Groundwork Commercial or Levelhead), we share only what is needed to help you.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and destroy or de-identify it when we no longer need it.

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you. Email contact@thelendinglab.com.au.
Complaints
